Fresno Christian elementary continues the Apex Leadership Company fundraiser for the 5th year, Jan. 9. Every morning FC students have the opportunity to listen to an Apex representative. The representative teaches a lesson on how to build character.
For example, today’s lesson was on appreciation taught by Java Jesse. He spoke about appreciating the little things, including things as small as a humming bird.
Apex is a combination of entrepreneurship, business, and philanthropy. Helping schools raise money for teachers, school supplies, campus facilities, etc. Apex puts together fun runs for students to raise money. While raising money they also focus on building leadership within the upcoming generations.
The Apex Fun Run for Fresno Christian will take place in the FC gym, Jan. 16. The students have the opportunity to gain sponsors, whether that be family or friends. Each student is given an access code. Sponsors can go to the website, Myapexevrnt.com to donate. They have the option to do a “flat” donation or a “per lap”donation. Every lap the students run donations are made towards the school. This years the Apex theme is, ‘Game On’. Students will run and average of 26-36 laps on a track that is 1/16 of a mile.
