In preparation for upcoming AP test, students in Advanced Placement United States History participate in taking a full practice test, lasting over three hours and 25 minutes, Jan. 29.
History teacher Kori Friesen provides a full practice test in order to help students feel prepared going into test day, May 8.
“Understanding the pace, style of questions, and formatting takes away a lot of the unknowns,” Friesen said. “It helps students gain confidence and motivate them to keep pushing to the end.”
Around the world there is a total of 38 AP courses to choose from in order to help students prepare for college by providing them with college level curriculums. In order to receive college credit, students must take and pass a cumulative test at the end of the school year.
Fresno Christian currently offers four AP courses per school year, AP Calculus, AP statistics, AP United States History and AP English Language and Composition, with 49 students enrolled in these classes. The 2020-21 AP class options will be announced this spring.
