As the spring sports season begins, the golf team begins preparing for their season, March 5.

The golf team consists of nine players and is coached by Brent Deffenbacher. The team practices at the Copper River Country Club and the Valley Golf Center.

New member, Blake Burdan, ’20, explains why he joined golf and his favorite thing about the team.

“I decided to join golf because I have never played before and I wanted to try something new,” Burdan said. “I also wanted to play one more sport in high school to finish off my senior year. My favorite thing about golf is how you get to chill out and hang with friends while playing the sport.”

Their next match will be against Madera High School at the Madera Golf and Country Club, March 12. The match will begin at 2 p.m. and will end at 5 p.m. Make sure to head out and support your golf team!
