As the winter sports comes to an end, the Winter Sports Awards Banquet honored athletes for their accomplishments, March 10. The banquet recognized both varsity boys and girls soccer, varsity boys and girls basketball and JV boys basketball in the Peoples Church gym, March. 9.
Each team gathered together with their families in the PC gym to announce awards. The coaches had an opportunity to share their favorite parts of the season and some of their favorite memories.
The list below includes athletes who received high honorable plaques.
Rylee Schwab, ’21: East Sierra League 2019-20 Varsity Soccer Most Valuable Player.
Tyus Parrish-Tillman, ’22: East Sierra League 2019-20 Varsity Basketball Most Valuable Player.
Angel Ruelas, ’20: East Sierra League 2019-20 Varsity Soccer Most Valuable Player.
After coaches spoke about their season accomplishments and highlights, teams broke off into separate classrooms to talk more about each players. Varsity players were also given varsity sports patches.
