Varsity girls volleyball seniors are honored on the court before the game against Riverdale, Oct. 18. Fresno Christian defeats Riverdale, 3-0.
Seniors include Emma Calderon, Hannah Scott, Brandy Penberthy, Jazmine Davidson, McKenna Brady and Annabelle Counts.
Penberthy, who has played varsity volleyball for two years, shares her experience on the team as a senior.
“ It was seriously one of my favorite nights,” Penberthy said, “I loved all of the cheering from everyone at the game, and playing in different positions.”
Penberthy has built strong friendships with her teammates, specifically Faith DeGroot and Sarah Guglielmana.
“I would like to thank Faith DeGroot for being a role model for me in volleyball and Sarah Guglielmana who fed into my love of volleyball,” Penberthy said. “I would also like to thank Coach Steve Guglielmana, assistant coach, Eric Cisneros and Donovan Guglielmana for giving up their time and cheering us on. Lastly, I want to thank Hannah Scott and Jazmine Davidson for being my biggest supporters.”
Led by head coach, Steve Guglielmana, the Lady Eagles are 12-1 in their league and 26-13 overall.
