It was an early morning for the seniors, arriving at 6 AM to watch the sunrise, Aug. 22. As graduation approaches, class bonding becomes a top priority for these students. Breakfast burritos and juice were provided before a time of worship and prayer.
Seniors, Tyler Maxey, Zoe Blanchfield, Marisol Martinez, and Julia Castiglione woke up extra early to rehearse their songs.

Senior Kennedy Wyatt was asked to prepare and share a small devotional with the class. Wyatt’s main goal for this message was to promote putting your hope in the right thing.
Seniors, Aden Milwee and Julia Castiglione also shared a massage with the class.
Senior Natalie Sullivan reflects on her senior sunrise experience and how the message impacted her.
“It was the best! I had such a good time with my classmates and hearing Kennedy talk about placing our hope in God in this crazy season of college applications and standardized tests which really helped me to center myself in the craziness,” Sullivan said. “I truly loved hearing Julia and Aden speak vulnerably about trials in their lives which lead them to share and trust God even more! It was such a fun and sweet time with friends!!”
Wrapping up the morning with circle time allowed them to share a personal goal and pray over the year. This is the first of several senior events throughout the 2024-25 school year. Next up is Senior Retreat at Hume Lake Christian Camps, Sept. 22-23.
