Girls varsity soccer celebrates six seniors before their home game against Sierra Jan. 27. Seniors (left to right) are Madeleine Durham, Meghan Connolly, Kennedy Schwab, McKenna Pierce, Vivian Cheema, and Julia Gray. These seniors are honored with signs, gift baskets and support from family and friends.
Team Captain Meghan Connolly, ’26, is a 4-year varsity soccer player whose love for soccer spans many years. She loves playing with her teammates and wishes she had known more about how aggressive the sport was freshman year.
“I’ve been playing soccer since I was 3,” Connolly said. “I do hope to play soccer in college, and it is in the works right now, actually!”
Madeleine Durham played soccer for a total of 9 years before joining the team in her junior year. Durham reflects on the relationships she’s built through the sport and recommends that the next generation join as soon as they can.
“I wish I knew that I would have gotten to know such a great group of friends in soccer,” Durham said. “It would’ve helped me a ton.”
