As spring approaches, Fresno Christian Boys Tennis aims to continue its winning culture with a reloaded roster for the ‘26 season. Seasoned veterans return to the court with ambitious goals to compete for Valley Championships and State titles, while mentoring their up-and-coming younger teammates.
Last season, coaches Robert Foshee and Daniel “Bulldog” Jessing led a successful campaign, clinching the Northwest Sequoia League title and punching their spot into the playoffs. The squad went undefeated during league play last season, carrying the momentum into the Division Ⅲ Central Section postseason. Where the team ultimately completed the three-peat, winning the Central Section Title game.
Assistant Coach Jessing has been a part of the FCS Boys Tennis program for nine years. During his tenure, the team has seen abundant success on and off the court, including winning multiple championships and the growth of the program. Jessing’s mentorship has shaped his players into confident men of God.

“This year brings some exciting new challenges with a completely new roster,” Jessing said. “Look for Bobby Oberg, Zach Paredes, and Finn Marshall to lead this young team. Go Eagles!”
After losing seven seniors, many of the rising athletes from last year’s successful campaign prepare to take on bigger roles in the upcoming season. With the first game quickly approaching, the boys rally together, strengthening their relationships in Christ while building each other up on the court.
While returning sophomore Zachary Paredes values the upperclassman who encouraged him, he is determined to sustain the team’s winning culture.
“We have had a strong team these past years, and I believe that we can get the job done yet again,” Paredes said. “My role on the team has definitely grown as well as my skills, since my fellow teammates have pushed me during the offseason.”

Following the threepeat, boys tennis enters the season with high standards and clear goals, and as younger players take on the responsibility once held by past leaders, the overall expectations remain the same.
But ultimately, more than wins and banners, the team intends to build its identity on faith and accountability. As the season progresses, the Eagles aim to represent Christ through their talk on and off the court.
The boys showcased their dominance, defeating Coalinga 8-1 in their home opener.
Come support FC Boys Tennis as they prepare to take on Roosevelt, Feb. 26.
