Behind every student is a teacher with a goal to help students succeed, and behind every teacher is a life outside the classroom. These lives are a big piece of the puzzle that make up who they are. If teaching is their Superman, then life outside the classroom is their Clark Kent, a hidden identity many students do not see.
To get to know some of the FCS staff better, we asked Art Teacher Vickey Belmont, Science and Math teacher Scott Bucher and Band Director Lindsey Clarno to play a game of “This or That” where they choose between two options to reveal more about their personalities.
Art teacher Vickey Belmont has a passion for making floral arrangements. Belmont teaches middle school and high school students various art skills. She has visited 48 out of the 50 states, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
Math and Science teacher Scott Bucher has eight children. In addition to teaching chemistry and physics, Bucher also teaches advanced classes such as AP Stats and AP Calculus. Prior to teaching, Bucher worked as an electrical engineer.
Band Director Lindsey Clarno oversees the program conducting the Beginning band in sixth grade, Eagle band in Junior High, FC Band in High School and Jazz Ensemble. With a passion for music and being Drum Major in high school, Clarno leads the bands with joy.
