Starting off the second day of the 35th annual FC homecoming week, former NFL player Keith Davis and former college player Vince Hobbs speaks in chapel with non-profit organization, Champions for Tomorrow (CFT), Oct. 1.
Champions for Tomorrow is an organization that travels from school to school in America and internationally, sharing encouragement to students.
CFT sends different types of athletes to speak to students about the importance of character and values, as well as the consequences of alcohol, drugs, crime, peer pressure, and violence.
Their mission is to motivate students, help them see their potential in life and encourage them to make a better future for themselves.
This is not the first time Champions For Tomorrow have visited Fresno Christian. Sophomore Madi Bryant, ’22, shares why she is excited for CFT to come speak at chapel.
“I’m excited for Champions for Tomorrow share their amazing talents,” Bryant said. “I enjoy when they come because they always bring a positive message tied into their life story! It’s not just them coming to speak to people, but they come with a purpose and a message.”
Davis shares his life stories and the hardship he went through. He emphasizes that we need to run “OUR” race and do what is good for us.
Hobbs also shares his life story, telling students how he was given a second chance after some wrong decisions. He was able to return to play college ball and win many championships. Hobbs says its not about how you start, but how you finish.
