The second day of homecoming week began as campus students and faculty gather in pairs or groups to dress identically for ‘Twin Tuesday’, Oct. 1. This year a board game-themed slogan is, ‘Homecoming Game On’.
Throughout Sept. 30-Oct. 4, student leadership will host princess pageants while spirit points are awarded each day for participation in dress days. Those points will be added to the classes total score at the big event on Friday night, Oct. 4.
‘Twin Tuesday’ overflowed with twins, triplets and even septuplets (seven) dressing the exact same from head to toe. Students are encouraged to dress up this week in anticipation for the homecoming night, Oct. 4.
The upcoming dress up days:
One-color Wednesday
Sports Thursday
Spirit Wear Friday
Today’s chapel was led by former NFL player, Keith Davis and former college player, Vince Hobbs. The two players travel with the organization Champions for Tomorrow and speak to the public about their story. The message in today’s chapel was about receiving second chances and finishing your race.
Princesses competed against each other in the ‘Dino Racing’ event at the second Princess Pageant of homecoming week. Each princess was put into a dinosaur costume and had to race each other around the field until one winner was named per class.
Class winners:
Freshmen: Kirra Obwald
Sophomore: Karoline Sandberg
Juniors: Samantha Portale
