The varsity volleyball team prepares for the first week of the Central Section Division 5 playoffs, Oct. 27. With 16 teams participating playoffs, the Eagles secured the 10th ranking.
Competing in the East Sierra League (ESL), the varsity team shut out their league with a 10-0 record. Defeating Wonderful College Prep Academy (WCPA), Summit Charter, Kings Christian, Laton and Alpaugh, the Eagles became league champions.
Junior Ellie Scully shares how she thinks the team has grown during their season and how she thinks they will do in playoffs.
“I think this team has grown so much since the beginning of the season,” Scully said. “We went from not even knowing what positions we were going to be playing to now winning league. We have also grown in friendship with each other and have gotten closer together. I think our team will perform very well during playoffs. We have been working hard all season and we know this is when it counts.”
The Eagles travel to Hanford High School their first game, Oct. 31. Depending on how they do, the team will either continue their journey in playoffs or end their season. Make sure to head out and support you Eagles in playoffs!
