Preparing to retire from her role as an educator for 31 years at Fresno Christian, Hallie Rojeski assigns her last annual U.S. Constitution test to the eighth grade history class, Dec. 6.
During the past six weeks, students have been preparing and gathering in study groups, participating in daily quizzes and working on homework assignments all to prepare for the anticipated 108-question test.
Rojeski shares why it is important for students to learn this material.
“Since they virtually read the entire Constitution,” Rojeski said, “they have a better idea of what it says and are not totally relying on others to tell them. It makes them a more informed citizen.”
After test completion, parents prepare a lunch and dessert, as well as hang up decorations to honor the class hard work. Towards the end of the lunch, Rojeski reveals and rewards certificates to students who received above 100% on grades and quizzes, prior to the test.
Way to go eighth graders!
