Make sure to wish English teacher Andrea Donaghe a happy birthday, Jan. 20. Donaghe continues to teach at Fresno Christian while in her 6th year and has been teaching 14 years over all. On her free time she enjoys taking naps, catching up with friends, treating herself with a pedicure, and spending time with family.
Donaghe shares why she enjoys teaching English and what she wants her students to take away from her class.
“I know it is not everyone’s favorite subject so I try to make it as painless and enjoyable as possible,” said Donaghe. “While introducing students to an author or an experience they otherwise would not have known about or realized. I want my students to take away that I truly care about them and believe in them.”
Along with teaching sophomore and senior English, this year Donaghe added an additional sophomore class for honors students. Honors 10 English is during period 4 for those seeking a higher level of English.
