What to expect in 2020

[/media-credit] The ball drops in New York City kicking off the start to 2020, Jan. 1.

Happy New Years! As the new decade officially begins, Fresno Christian students prepare to return to school after a three- week break, Jan. 6, 2020.

With one semester left of the 2019-20 school year, FC students and faculty prepare for the upcoming months.

Choir

FC music director Susan Ainley will host the 5th annual Valentines concert, Feb. 15. Choir students will sing a variety of music celebrating Valentines Day. For those who missed the winter choir concert, watch Lessons and Carols choir Christmas performance, 2019.

In March, choir students along with director Ainley will travel to Nashville, Tennessee, to participate in the Heritage Festival, March 23-30.

Class of ’20

As second semester begins, the class of ’20 counts down the days until graduation which will be held in the Peoples Church main auditorium, May 21, 7 p.m.

Before graduation, the senior class will embark on their annual class trip, May 13-15. Seniors vote on their top three choices of what to do while on the trip.

FC sports

Winter sports will begin league as school resumes. Coming off of a busy preseason schedule, FC basketball and soccer teams all hope to win their league.

Central Section Division V rankings places boys basketball in 2nd as they are currently 10-5 in their preseason. Girls basketball is 3-7, and will begin their league season at Laton, Jan. 10.

Boys soccer is ranked 2nd in the Central Section Division VI group. Boys soccer will resume after a two week break by facing Dinuba, Jan. 9. Girls soccer is 1st in the Division V Central Section. Currently 10-1, the girls will begin league, Jan. 10.
