Fun Facts about Hallie Rojeski

[/media-credit] Did you know Hallie Rojeski used to teach French?

Teaching in four different states, Hallie Rojeski has taught both French and English. In a Feather Online effort to get-to-know a Feb. 6 spotlight, Rojeski has taught for a total of 42 years and 31 years at Fresno Christian.

Growing up in Colorado and graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University, Rojeski continued to move around to teach. She has taught in many different states including Nebraska, Colorado, Wisconsin and California. Not only did Rojeski teach history like she does at FC but she also taught French and English. She has taught to both middle schoolers and high school students.

Not only does Rojeski have a passion for teaching but also for sports. Rojeski has participates in softball, playing third base and pitcher, bowling and golf. Some of her favorite teams consist of the Yankees, Celtics, and the Colts.

Rojeski shares the best advice she has received.

“The best teacher advice I have been given is; ‘Get to know the office staff and janitors and make friends with them because they are very important,” Rojeski said. “The best advice I have been given as a parent is to pick your battles.”

Not only does Rojeski teach Bible and history, she has been involved in a handful of activities. Such as, CJSF, leadership and Sister to Sister. She hopes that her students will take away Romans 12:1-2 from her junior high classes and to remember to always follow the Lord and not the patterns of the world.

FUN FACTS:

  • Rokeski prefers coffee over tea
  • If Rojeski could eat one meal for the rest of her life, it would be Mexican enchiladas
  • Rojeski is married to Donn Rojeski and they have two kids (Paul Rojeski, ’96 and Diane Rojeski Pearce, ’97)
  • Both of Rojeski’s kids graduated from FCS
  • Rojeski’s favorite genre of music is Christian

Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
