“Lights, Camera, Homecoming.” Fresno Christians 38th annual Homecoming has officially begun! This year’s Kicking off with a performance from Homecoming King and Queen Candidates participating in the annual FC Lip Sync Royal Battle. Senior candidates practiced for weeks on choreography with help from staff members Kori James, Kimberly Bell and Hope Villines. Winners were chosen based on their lip-syncing ability, enthusiasm, creativity and the audience applaud.

Partner Duets

1st- Boomer Mericle and Sophia Adams- “La La Land”

Tied for 2cd- Gabriella Hutcheson and Kaleb Marquez & Mckenzie Sue and Donovan Guglielmana-“Mama Mia” & -“Cruisin for a Brusin”

3rd- Chloe McDonald and Jake Wyatt- “Dance the Night”

4th- Paige Deffenbacher and Cal Backowski- “Breaking Free”

The finale was a choreographed group dance including routines to these movie hits

“The Hanging Tree” from Hunger Games

“Immortals” from Big Hero 6

“Hot Wings” from Rio

“My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic

“Happy” from Despicable Me

“The Greatest Show” from The Greatest Showman

Marin Beasley is a sophomore at Fresno Christian and serves on the photo /video team for The Feather Online. Marin is skilled in sports photography and creating short, edited reels. Garrett Alvis, Journalist

Garrett Alvis is a junior at Fresno Christian High School and three-year veteran of the nationally-renowned newspaper, The Feather Online. Alvis specializes in literary journalism serving those around him through feature writing. He aspires to improve his skills by striving to be the best version of himself bringing glory to God. In his free time, you can find Alvis in nature, taking in God's glory around him.
