Fresno Christian high school takes students into various different locations throughout Fresno and Clovis for the 10th annual Serve Day, March 8.
While taking time out of the classrooms, students and faculty offer their service to the community. As Serve Day is only one day of the school year, the hope is for high schoolers to be encouraged to serve on their own time.
Serve Day locations:
Central California Food Bank – students spent the day packaging 7,800 pounds of fresh oranges for distribution.
Graffiti Cleanup – two different locations got a fresh coat of paint alongside the train tracks.
Reading Hearts – students created bookmarks for numerous books.
FC Elementary – helped kids and assisted elementary teachers when needed.
Evangel Home – students painted the inside of houses.
Martin Park – picked up trash throughout the park.
The Well – gardening, cleaning, organizing, and washing down parts of the new campus.
People’s Church – washing, gardening, organizing and cleaning while also helping build shelves and tables.
Bethany Church – cleaned different locations within the campus.
