April 22nd marks another Earth Day and this years’ theme is Plastics vs. Planet. Multiple events around the globe bring awareness to the growing concerns about plastic pollution. Locations such as local favorite, Yosemite National Park, host an Earth Day Clean up including visitors in efforts to pick up liter throughout the park. The fight against using plastic as a fast solution will take a global shift in thinking and earthday.org has many educational programs to reach consumers.
This year, President Biden announced new federal solar power grants to help residential owners install solar panels. To help support earth day there are multiple organizations that accept donations. These include:

- Earthjustice
- 350.org
- Union of Concerned Scientist
- The Conservation Fund
