Teachers observe the faces of students entering their virtual classrooms as Fresno Christian begins the 2020 school year, Sept. 7. Now, instead of driving miles to reach school, students find themselves walking no more than a few yards and plugging in their laptops and smartphones to attend classes from the comfort of their homes. Teachers adjust their methods and curriculum to better accommodate the online schooling. Despite any difficulties with the alternative learning format, three new junior high and high school teachers introduce themselves to their new students through screens instead of face-to-face.
