[Video] FCS College Fair

Fresno Christian students gather in the courtyard during lunch for the annual college fair, Oct. 3.

Students experience career opportunities from over 25 college representatives and military recruiters. They set up their booths in the courtyard and offered pamphlets of information about their campus and the unique qualities that they offer. With growing pressure to make final college decisions, this gives students a chance to explore their options and ask questions about their future. There were even schools that are religion-based, such as Fresno Pacific, California Baptist and more.

For those who wish to serve our country, military recruiters from the Army, Navy, Coastguard, and Marine Corps also attended. They brought a student favorite challenge to the campus, the chin-up challenge.

Marin Beasley is a sophomore at Fresno Christian and serves on the photo /video team for The Feather Online. Marin is skilled in sports photography and creating short, edited reels. Beasley enjoys playing volleyball, and her favorite subject in school is U.S History. She wants to attend college to major in criminology and one day become a detective.

Selah Neal, Photojournalist

Selah Neal is a freshman, and this is her first year on The Feather. Neal is eager to develop skills in the art of photography that she can carry with her into the future. She enjoys snacking, kayaking, and horseback riding. Selah hopes to keep her straight-A’s this year and have a few adventures along the way.
