Fresno Christian choir led by music director, Susan Ainley, hosts FC parents, students and staff for the ninth annual Valentine’s Day concert, ‘Just the Two of Us’, Feb. 3.
Several members of high school choir and women ensemble performed over 20 performances after numerous weeks of preparation. This gave them the opportunity to showcase their individual voices outside of traditional “choir” music. The night was hosted by student liaison Hope Villines and filled with a variety of classic love songs to disney duets.
This year’s concert consisted of a total of 16 solos and four duets
- Matthew Tacchino, ‘26, Sway

Senior Paige Deffenbacher, known as a “choir lifer” for her eight years dedicated to it, has performed in the concert since freshman year. She adores taking the stage and the uniqueness of it.
“I love the camaraderie of being a part of the concert. The day of the concert is so much fun. The energy is so high and all of the performers are each other’s biggest cheerleaders,” Deffenbacher said. “The atmosphere backstage is so much fun. We all dance around and sing along.”
