Elementary students and parents gather for this years open house, May 8.
At the event, TK-6th grade students get the opportunity to show their parents a glimpse of their school day. Student made projects and assignments are also displayed for parents to see.
The night starts with a free Chick-Fil-A dinner, parents get the opportunity to eat with their children and their classmates families. After dinner, families are released to the classrooms to learn more about their students school life. Once students are done showing off their classrooms, the third grade class has their traditional square dance. After the square dance, the fifth and sixth grade color guard team performs their routine to ‘This Is Me’, from ‘The Greatest Showman’.
Principal, Amy Deffenbacher, appreciates the community that open house creates.
“Open house is a wonderful celebration of the many accomplishments of our elementary students.” Deffenbacher said. “It is a fun evening representing learning, art, music and community.”
Thank you to everyone who helped to plan, set up, and run open house this year!
