According to Global Post, the number one concern for teen girls is how they view and feel about themselves. Everyone should know that no matter how we feel we are all a work of art. Finding worth in material items like makeup, hair, clothes, or seeking approval from others will never be satisfying.

One thing that Beauty Obsessed would like to achieve is to show women that, yes, we are all different but we are all still beautiful in ways that no one else is.

In the New Testament Peter wrote in 1 Peter 3:3-4; beauty comes from within.

“Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”

On some makeup blogs people can often be discouraged because maybe the viewer cannot get the look to be perfect or they do not have all the products used. When trying out a new look, it is not always the first try that is perfect; it takes time.

I believe that people should encourage each other and help one another in any circumstance, and that is the number one priority of Beauty Obsessed.

Everyone was created to stand out in their own way, people are not put on this earth to be the same as everyone else. People were designed to live a life pleasing to God and to lead others to Him.

Yes, feeling good about yourself is a nice thing, but if someone is not truly being themselves and honoring God, how can they ever be satisfied?

The biggest critic that someone has to face, is themselves. When one looks into the mirror, people become critical because they do not fit in society’s idea of perfect.

Who actually decides what ‘perfect’ is, considering we are all different and do not all have the same genes. Everyone is beautiful in one way or another, those ways are not going to always be the same as someone else.

Love yourself for who YOU are, not for who society THINKS you should be.
