The procession of the average school day halts and the students board buses to various destinations across the Fresno area. Some will rake leaves, some will serve meals, and some will package food. All will participate in a school wide effort to serve the greater community.
The annual FC Serve Day commences, March. 3. On this day students will reach hands of aid to multiple charities and facilities in the area. These locations include: The Fresno Rescue Mission, FIRM (Fresno International Rescue Mission), Raintree Rest Home, Discovery Center, New Life for Girls’ Outreach Campus, Neighborhood Thrift and Kelpler Charter School. Some students will stay at FC to help with Kid’s Inc and other places of need on campus.
The video below contains footage of last year’s 2nd annual FC Serve Day. Sites included graffiti clean up, serving food at the Povorello House, packing food for the Community Food Bank along with many more sites around town.
