[/media-credit] In session one, Steve Villines shared his daily tasks during the annual career day April 15.

Session one of Career Fair gave students the option to listen to a firefighter captain, interior designer, ER physician, or business developer, April 15.

Business developer Steve Villines explained the journey he took to enter the profession and a description of what his job entails. Villines shared that in order to be a successful business developer, you must have a positive outlook and good people skills to be successful.

“On a daily basis I am constantly talking with people of all types,” Villines said. “You have to listen and understand what their ideas are for the future of their company.”

Currently he is working with Fresno Christian and Jeremy Brown discussing plans to better FC.

“My primary purpose is to support Fresno Christian Schools’ mission of cultivating Christian leaders through academic and personal excellence.”

What advice would you give to someone pursuing a job in business?

“My advice would be that you always have to be confident and be prepared to be brought down,” said Villines. “You have to get right back up. Don’t be afraid to follow your dream because you will eventually achieve it.”
