While students were transitioning into the the new year, Darbee Whipple was transitioning from being an elementary PE teacher to the junior high and high school secretary.

Whipple was the PE coach for four years before joining the high school staff. She enjoyed spending time with the elementary students but she was ready for a change. When the position opened up she knew she couldn’t pass it up.

“The transition has been fun and very interesting. It was difficult leaving the little kids,” Whipple said. ” I enjoyed playing with them, they gave me nicknames like Fanee, Mil Will, Mrs. Wheeple and Mrs. Whipples.”

She misses teaching the elementary students but enjoys being around the high schoolers.
