Thousands gathered to celebrate the this years 97th annual Fresno Veterans Day Parade which was held in downtown Fresno, Nov. 11. The parade started in front of town hall, at 10:30 a.m., and ending in Chukchansi Park.

This year, the 2016 focus is on the Marine Corp , but all branches of the military will be honored as well, as they celebrate their 241 birthday, Nov. 10. The Grand Marshall Lt. Col. Oliver North, a former US Marine, was honored before the parade.

5000 participants in this years parade. This is the largest parade on the west of the Mississippi River. The FC marching also participated in this years parade.
