Bestselling author, U.S. Army Paratrooper, Rhode Scholar and the founder of BridgeEDU Wes Moore spoke at the SJVC Town Hall at Saroyan Theatre to hundreds of students and community members, Nov. 16.
Moore spoke about his bestselling book ‘The Other Wes Moore’ and how choosing your own destiny and networking is one of the most important skills that students can learn in this decade.
He encouraged students to focus more on the relationships they build while getting their higher education than worrying about what they major in and what classes they are going to take.
“If you know who you are fighting for,” Moore said, “you will never stop fighting for them.”
