Addison Schultz, ’21, and Natalie Arndt, ’21, express their excitement of the approaching three day weekend ahead, Feb. 17. Presidents’ Day is a national holiday to celebrate past presidents.
Honoring first president George Washington and 16th president Abraham Lincoln schools take the second and third Mondays off in Feb. The holiday was founded in the 1880’s.
Kayden Marquez, ‘20, is excited for an extra long weekend to relax from sports and be with friends.
“This weekend I’m going to celebrate one of my good friend’s birthday,” Marquez said. “I love three day weekends because it gives me a extra day to relax from soccer, cheer and a longer chance to finish homework. My favorite part about Presidents’ Day is the extra day off of school and to be grateful for the presidents before us. My favorite president is Abraham Lincoln because of his cool hat.”
Enjoy this presidents week.
