Thursday night at sophomore Hunter Nale’s family barn, student leadership hosted a bonfire rally that aimed to unite and promote the homecoming football game. Students enjoyed conversation, prayer and board games. Football head coach, Russ Counts and senior team captains, Tyler VillinesRoman Endicott and Brandon Krueger spoke to students and players.

Freshman tennis player, Samantha Portale came to FC her eighth-grade year. She enjoys making memories with her classmates at events like the bonfire night rally.

“I really liked the rally last night,” Portale said. “It was really fun to come together as one and hang out as our Fresno Christian family. I think we should do more rallies as they are lots of fun. But I think they should be longer. I’m looking forward to seeing my friends dressed up and be on our float.”6669

Spirit/sports Friday concluded the themed days for homecoming week. Students came to school dressed in their favorite sports uniforms or spirit wear to earn points for their class.

Senior McKensy Neil explains what is special about her outfit for spirit day.

“My outfit is my dad’s jersey from when he went to Fresno Christian,” Neil said. “I also have my letterman and my volleyball necklace that I won All-Tournament for this year. My favorite part of dress-up days is seeing everybody else dress up and seeing how they interpret the day. My favorite day was Disney day because I got to put all my Disney merchandise to good use. I am planning to be on our (senior) float.”
