Jesus is enough

Jesus+is+enough
[/media-credit] Aubri Foster speaks about how Jesus Christ can be enough in students’ lives in Tuesday chapel, Feb. 6.

Christian living Teacher and Leadership Co-Advisor, Aubri Foster, speaks in chapel about what it means to “See & Be Seen” She says: “On our own, we will never be enough. But with Jesus, we are MORE than enough!” Feb. 6. Foster emphasizes the importance of sharing the Fruits of the Spirit with those around us if we call ourselves Christians.

“In my Christian life every day, I wake up wondering what it is God has for me.”  Foster continues by speaking words of encouragement to the campus students. “When you guys walk down the hallways I see good, smart, loving, kind, joyful, friendly, beautiful, handsome, clever and genuine people.” She discusses that she understand the pressure that students put on themselves and that they might not see the same things when they walk down the hallway.

She went on to share that students ask themselves if they are enough, but the answer is that no one is enough, except for Christ. Then, Christ in us is more than enough. Because of what Christ did for us we can be enough. Paul writes in Romans 8:38-39: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” There is no stress or pressure that can change our place with God if we are a part of the body of Christ.

Foster also shared a video called “God’s Glasses” which demonstrated that most people have something that they are struggling with on a daily basis. It is important not to just see our own world but to “look up” and see what others may be going through as well. Our words and actions matter.
