Fresno Christian’s senior homecoming court nominees choose a Disney movie to market during  FC homecoming, Oct. 5. Candidates Sophia Kalugin and Darrin Williams both have an interest in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

This week’s chosen movies include, ‘Star Wars‘, ‘Lilo and Stitch‘, ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame‘, ‘Hercules‘, and ‘Tangled‘.  FC leadership voted on the Disney theme called ‘Homecoming Happily Ever After‘.

The theme will be carried out as classes work on floats from various Disney movies. Floats will be showcased and open for voting at the 34th annual FC homecoming, Oct. 5.

Homecoming nominees, Williams and Kalugin take part in ‘Homecoming Happily Ever After’ by dressing up as Quasimodo and Esméralda. The Hunchback of Notre Dame takes place in the fifteenth century in Paris France. Quasimodo, the main character, is a bell ringer with a deformity in his back. The plot is centered around Quasimodo’s struggle to find acceptance into society.

Kalugin shares why her and Williams chose The Hunchback of Notre Dame as their movie.

“We chose the Hunch Back because we thought it would be a funny and memorable picture to recreate,” Kalugin said.

Williams expresses excitement for the week’s events.

“I would say that I’m most excited for the king dance and to see how the school reacts to it,” Williams said.

Come out to chapel, Oct. 4, at 9:35 a.m. to see the Royal Battle!
