High schoolers in seventh-period leadership begin to plan the upcoming Night of the Stars formal event, Jan. 30. Students meet in committees to plan the different aspects of the night.

Led by advisors Aubri Foster and Robert Foshee, five groups arrange the details including food and favors, decorations, advertisement, entertainment and financing.

The prom style event is scheduled at Wolf Lakes, March. 30. This year’s theme is based around the Oscars and event sales  will be announced during chapel, Feb. 5.

During the evening students will share a meal while watching class movie spoofs. Oscar-style awards ceremony will follow the films and recognize different categories such as best actor, funniest scene and parent’s favorite. Parents and faculty members vote on the different winners after watching  class films prior to the big event.
