Winter Sports Banquet 2019

[/media-credit] Four athletes, (left to right) Macie Thompson, ’19, Tyus Parrish-Tillman, ’22, Rylee Schwab, ’21, and Jacob Scully, ’19, were recognized as the East Sequoia League MVP for their sport, March 11.

FC basketball and soccer teams gather for the annual winter sports award banquet, March 11. Varsity girls and boys soccer, JV boys basketball, and both varsity girls and boys basketball were honored at the banquet.

Every team gathered together with their families in the PC gym to announce the main awards. Following the main awards, each team split off into small groups to receive their letterman patches.

Each coach spoke about the accomplishments of their team. After this, the chosen athletes were awarded in front of friends and family. Some of the awards included, offensive player, defensive player, Eagle award, and MVP.

All four teams won the East Sequoia League. In addition, four athletes were recognized as the East Sequoia League MVP. Rylee Schwab, ’21, for girls soccer, Jacob Scully, ’19, for boys soccer, Macie Thompson, ’19, for girls basketball, and Tyus Parrish-Tillman, ’22, for boys basketball.

Girls soccer – MVP Rylee Schwab, ’21, Offensive Player Annabelle Messer, ’20, Defensive Player Kayden Marquez, ’20, Eagle Award Megan LeBlanc, ’20.

Boys soccer – MVP Jacob Scully, ’19, Offensive Player Aaron LaCroix, ’19, Defensive Player Alexander Rurik, ’19, Eagle award Richie Cortez, ’20, Most improved Kamdon Marquez, ’22.

JV boys basketball – Defensive Player Hayden Trevino, ’22, Most Improved Bryce Foshee, ’21, Riley Goldsborough, ’22, Tenacity Max Muñoz, ’20, Eagle Award Sam Swearengin, ’22, Offensive Player Kenneth Hu, ’21.

Boys basketball – MVP Tyus Parrish-Tillman, ’22, and Orion Tomlinson, ’22, Eagle Award Suky Cheema, ’19, Most Improved Brandon Brogan, ’19, Defensive Player Carston Saelzler, ’21.

Girls basketball- MVP Macie Thompson, ’19, Offensive Player Ashley Zamarripa, ’19, Offensive Player Hannah Villines, ’21, Defensive Player Julia Fikse, ’19, Defensive Player Alina Davila, ’19.
