National+Puppy+Day
[/media-credit] Celebrate your dogs on National Puppy day, March 23.

According to the National Day Calendar, National Puppy Day is a day to shower your pups with some extra love and attention. This holiday takes place each year, March 23.

National Puppy Day was created by Colleen Paige in 2006. Paige is a Pet and Family Lifestyle Expert. In addition, she is the author of her blog ‘Home. Family. Pets.’. National Puppy Day promotes the adoption of dogs who have been abandoned or abused.

Below are some fun facts about puppies:

Puppies are born blind and deaf.

45% of dog owners allow their dogs to sleep on their beds.

Over half of all of the presidents of the United States have owned a dog.

Labrador retrievers are the most popular dog breed in the U.S.

Puppies spend 15-20 hours a day sleeping.

Be sure to make sure your pets know you love them by giving them a little more attention today!
