2014 school year welcomes new transitions, adjustments

New School year results in changes

The 2014-15 school year has begun, and the FC community gathered as one in the Peoples Church

Convocation started off with a welcome to students and families from new school superintendent Jeremy Brown. Afterward, the assembly continued on with worship led by a worship team put together by alumni Tyler Duerr. Brown shared this year's theme from James 1:22: Living our faith.

With the new year, FC welcomes many changes around campus including a new superintendent, 10 new staff members and a new bell schedule. Students have a regular schedule on Mondays, and will have a block day Tuesday through Friday.

Due to the drastic bell schedule change, students were often spotted confused with schedules in hand. The first day of change is always a bit scrambled, but by the end of the day most students already had the hang of things.

While all these changes might take a bit of adjustment, they intended to benefit all of FC students and staff. While the 2014-15 school year is going to be filled with new technology and staff, staff members believe it is going to build a stronger school environment.
