Student leadership: Looks ahead to homecoming

[/media-credit] The next big event for the high school is homecoming, Oct. 16; each day will be a special dress up day.
Student leadership is taking a more active role in promoting student involvement throughout this new school year. Return to read about how FC students are actively learning, serving and promoting the events on and off campus in this article series.

The high school varsity cheer team is hosting their annual cheer clinic for the elementary girls. Each girl will receive a t- shirt with administration and perform on Oct. 2, at the home football game against Trinity Christian.

Champions for Tomorrow, Sept. 29, came to the FC gym to talk to the student body about living a positive life and starting a second half. The event was sponsored by Hume Lake Christian Camps.

Due to renovation, many classes are moved to special locations while the campus brings in new carpets. For more information, go to the high school office in Building 6 and at the entrance doors.

High school volleyball has a home game against Alpaugh, Oct. 1. Come cheer on your lady eagles in the FC gym.

Last weekend the student body went to Great America for sadies, Sept. 26. A lot of students had a good time and loved how the park was not very crowded.

The next big event for the high school is homecoming, Oct. 16. Each day will be a special dress up day. The week of homecoming has one less day, Oct. 12, Oct. 13, is travelers Tuesday where students dress up as tourists, Oct. 14, is sports, Oct. 15 is jet lag which is pajama day, homecoming day is spirit wear.

One of the events that we have moved to the first semester of school is PowderPuff, Oct. 20. Powderpuff is an event where high school girls come together to play against the other classes in a small game of football.
