This letter was written in response to Scholastic Journalism Week.
Dear editor,
Scholastic Journalism Week has arrived, and I can say that a few different things have been brought to my attention that I didn’t quite realize. Some of The Feather staff came into our advisory classes and spoke to us a little bit about why news is so important. I completely agree with all of their arguments concerning the importance of news, but later, after further pondering, a thought struck. Nobody pays attention to the news anymore, right?
The truth is, how many people really turn on the 11 o’clock news to pass time or pick up a newspaper to go along with their coffee on a Sunday afternoon? Not many people from this generation rarely do, if at all for that matter. What I am really trying to get at here is that the way we get our news is evolving, and fast.

I think it is super cool to point this out Roman! It encourages me to not only use The Feather as my news source but, actually get involved with watching the news on TV, and reading the newspaper.
