As graduation brings so many “lasts,” it reminds you of all the “firsts.” With my last days as a Feather staffer quickly approaching, I reminisce on how much I have improved because of this class, and other experiences that have formed who I am today. As a lifer, Fresno Christian has become like a second home to me; it is filled with close friends, hardships, and fond memories. The Feather Online has played no small role in my journey with this school.

4,660 days after saying goodbye to mom and walking into Mrs. (Amy) Witters’ kindergarten class, I am almost ready to walk off the stage at graduation. The first thing that reflecting on these 13 years brings to mind is a whole-hearted thank you.

Longtime campus teacher Robert Foshee has served FCS since 2000, with 18 years as an advisor, teacher and coach. His consistent participation in school events have shaped the school, helping provide stability as it completes its 41st year.

FC girls varsity basketball will begin their summer season and workouts, May 30. The team is coached by Robert Foshee and Mike Zamarripa for the third year in a row. The team participates in a variety of tournaments throughout the summer.

As I sit struggling with what to write for this senior reflection, my thoughts move toward my unorthodox journey on The Feather over the past two years. I joined The Feather in Fall 2021, after some gentle (and not-so-gentle) encouragement from my friends Taylor Beckworth, ‘23, Summer Foshee, ‘23, and Aubrey Graham, ‘23, the previous year. My time with the team has been a whirlwind ever since.
