Students promote the annual Together we CAN campus food drive to benefit the Fresno community, Nov. 27.
This Christmas season, the Fresno Christian community will once again partner with local church, Pinedale Community Fellowship, to provide canned and dry food goods to the Pinedale neighborhood of Fresno. The drive aims to provide food to families that will sustain them through Christmas.
Food will be collected through Dec. 7. Each high school class has their own drop off location:
- Freshmen: Foshee (608)
- Sophomores: Foster (604)
- Juniors: Friesen (602)
- Seniors: Donaghe (601)
Campus teacher and leadership advisor, Robert Foshee, appreciates the personal connection within the community that the food drive creates.
“This will be our 8th year partnering with the Pinedale community,” Foshee said. “Before that, the school was involved in the Red Bucket program providing meals for other non-profit groups in Fresno. It’s a great way to partner with a local church to serve and minister to families in our community. The food is going to Pinedale Community Fellowship with pastor Richard Amparano. The church is in Pinedale and serves the people who live in the Pinedale neighborhood.”
The class/students who bring in the most cans will be given an award, be sure to bring in cans before it’s too late!
