Starting off league with a win, FC volleyball defeats Laton, 3-0, Sept. 18.

Coming off of a 14-1 record from last season, senior captains Megan LeBlanc, Kayla Vanderlinden and Avery Jones strive to lead their team to win the East Sierra league title.

Head coach Kit Maddox is in his third year of coaching FC volleyball.

Maddox started his volleyball career at a young age eventually playing at Buchanan High School and in college at Fresno State. Soon after graduating from college, Maddox traveled to Belgium to play in the Belgian Volleyball League.

With a total of four seniors, four juniors, one sophomore, and one freshman, the Eagles add seven new members to the varsity team. Throughout the season, volleyball will be competing against Alpaugh, WCPA, Summit Charter, Kings Christian, and Laton.

The Eagles next match will be a non-league game against Washington Union, Sept. 18.
