Homecoming 2019 Day 1 Recap

[/media-credit] Students start off the first day of the 2019 homecoming week by wearing mis match outfits, Sept. 30.

Fresno Christian homecoming week has officially begun. This year a board game-themed slogan is, ‘Homecoming Game On’. Throughout Sept. 30-Oct. 4, student leadership will host princess pageants while spirit points are awarded each day for participation in dress days. Those points will be added to the classes total score at the big event on Friday night, Oct. 4.

On Friday night, gates will open at 5:45 p.m. Concessions will be available at 6 p.m., including jumbo hot dogs, nachos, chips, candy, etc. The homecoming court candidates will be announced before the game at 6:30. The Eagles will be facing Riverdale Christian, kick-off will be at 7 p.m.

To start the first day of homecoming week 2019, students show up to school in mis match outfits. Today’s fashion included different colored shoes, socks, various un-matching patterns and clothing combinations. Students are encouraged to dress up everyday this week with the anticipation for the football game, Oct. 4.

Homecoming princess candidates participate in the first lunch-time princess pageant. Princesses sing Disney songs to participate in ‘Princess Karaoke’. After the princesses sang, faculty and other students chose a song to sing as well. Student leadership organizes lunchtime activities each day during homecoming week for homecoming nominees to participate in.
